Christopher J. Caputo  -  Managing Director (New York)
Chris co-founded Fortress Group as successor to the business he established in 1998, Fortress Capital Corp., a merchant banking firm specializing in private equity investments and capital raising for private equity funds. Prior to 1998, Chris was Managing Director and Co-Head of the Private Equity Group at Bank Austria Group from 1991 to 1998. During his seven years at Bank Austria and its predecessor, Creditanstalt, Chris was instrumental in developing a private equity placement and merchant banking business. Prior to Bank Austria, Chris worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. and began his career at Bear, Stearns & Co. as an Analyst in the Corporate Finance Group. Chris received his B.A. in Economics from Colgate University and his M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Bruce A. Williamson, CFA  -  Managing Director (Atlanta)
Prior to co-founding Fortress Group, Bruce was Managing Director of Williamson Advisors, an investment banking firm he founded in 1994 to offer M&A and capital advisory services to U.S. middle market companies in a broad array of industries. Prior to Williamson Advisors, Bruce was Vice President at KD Equities, a New York-based buyout fund focused on middle-market manufacturing and distribution companies. Previously, he was an Associate with L.F. Rothschild & Co. in Corporate Finance / M&A. He began his career at Bear, Stearns & Co. as an Analyst in the Financial Restructuring Group. Bruce received his A.B. degree with honors from Harvard College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Christopher J. Genovese  -  Vice President
Prior to joining Fortress Group, Chris worked for Brighton Partners, LLP, a lower middle market buyout group based in Atlanta. There he performed due diligence and analysis work on private equity investment opportunities and led numerous operational improvement initiatives for one of their portfolio companies. Prior to Brighton Partners, Chris advised corporate clients on supply chain management and corporate strategy as a Manager with Hitachi Consulting and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting. He began his career as an engineer for Cooper Industries, a manufacturing conglomerate. Chris received his B.S. with honors in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his M.B.A. from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.

Joshua J. Nanci  -  Associate
Prior to joining Fortress Group, Josh was the Managing Director of Jorel Business Advisors, an investment banking firm dedicated to lower middle-market M&A and capital advisory services.  Earlier, Josh was Vice President at Schneider Downs Corporate Finance, a middlemarket investment banking firm in Pittsburgh. Prior to joining Schneider Downs Corporate Finance, he was with The Monteverde Group, LLC, a boutique investment management firm.  His investment banking expertise includes mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and private placements of debt and equity.  He received a dual degree in Finance and Business Law at Duquesne University and earned his M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.

James D. Atcheson  -  Analyst
James supports the firm's fund placement mandates through institutional investor research, database administration, and market research. Prior to joining Fortress Group, James worked for an independent broker-dealer performing market research and technical analysis of publicly traded securities. Earlier, he began his financial career at E*Trade Securities. James received his B.A. in International Business from the University of Georgia.

Patrick S. O'Neill  -  Analyst
Patrick supports the firm's fund placement mandates through institutional investor research, database administration, and market research. Patrick received his B.S. with highest honors in Management, with a concentration in Finance, from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
